Vates Blue Scotch Curled Kale (Brassica oleracea var. acephala) is an heirloom variety prized for its finely curled blue-green leaves, compact growth, and hardiness. This variety matures in 50-80 days and becomes especially tender and sweet after frost. Its resilience and ease of growth make it a popular choice for cooler climates and container gardening. It reaches a height of 12-16 inches, spreading to about 24 inches in diameter, making it an excellent choice for edible borders or large patio containers.

Starting Indoors:
